- Manufactured with a single layer of 2.2mm full-grain leather.
- The traditional Vellie – South Africa’s most loved shoe.
- Insole board is secured to the upper with a double-stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord.
- Sole is made from a pure rubber R4 compound and is supported with a steel shank.
- This boot can be resoled.
Dana Easter –
I love these shoes. Most comfortable and elegant but tough ladies vellies. The only disappointment for me was that the shoe (which i first found online) has quite a different color in person. The picture here is too brightened. In real life the cognac color is much darker brown and also the sole is not taupe to almost beige like here, it is actually a dark grey. Due to this there is also very little contrast between the chesnut suede color and the 2 label on the lip of the shoe, and the heel. On the pictures here all in all the color is much brighter (which is what i fell for originally). I really wish Jim Green would produce this shoe in the exact colors as pictured here.
That being said, while a little disappointed in the colors, i still love the shoe to bits and will be buying more. (Bought through a vendor in Joburg.)
